We were warmly welcomed by the staff and the hotel’s owner, Mrs. Vicky, whose reputation for hospitality is well-deserved. The hotel’s location is excellent—close enough to Aegina Town (just a short drive away), yet peacefully removed from the busier areas. Souvala itself offers a few lovely tavernas and cafés, all within walking distance from the hotel.
Rooms & Comfort
We stayed in a sea-view room on the second floor, which had a private balcony overlooking the bay. The room was clean and spacious, equipped with air conditioning, a minibar, a TV, and reliable Wi-Fi. Everything was in working order, and the view more than made up for it.
Facilities
One of the highlights of our stay was the saltwater swimming pool. Surrounded by sun loungers and with unobstructed sea views, it was the perfect place to relax. The poolside bar served refreshments throughout the day, and in the evening, the setting transformed into a quiet, romantic spot. A sauna is also available on-site, which added to the overall wellness experience.
Dining
Breakfast was served by the pool each morning—a generous buffet of fresh fruits, pastries, local cheeses, and eggs made to order. We also dined at the hotel’s restaurant one evening and were pleased with the selection of traditional Greek dishes, all freshly prepared. Their use of local ingredients was evident and appreciated.
Events & Extras
The hotel also features an events room, which we were told is used for weddings and private gatherings. While we didn’t attend any events during our stay, the space appeared versatile and well-kept. Parking was free and conveniently located right outside the property.
Service
Service throughout our stay was friendly and efficient. Mrs. Vicky and her team were always available, offering help with local recommendations, transportation, and bookings. There’s a genuine warmth and personal touch to the hospitality at Mistral that made our experience memorable.
Final Thoughts
Mistral Hotel is a solid choice for travelers looking to unwind in a peaceful, scenic part of Aegina. It’s ideal for couples, small families, or anyone seeking a laid-back getaway with easy access to both the beach and the island’s cultural sites. While some areas of the hotel could use modernization, the exceptional service, location, and views truly set this property apart.
