From the moment we arrived in Aegina, Ulrika Hotel felt like a home away from home. After a short ferry ride from Athens, check-in was smooth at the sister hotel, Plaza, where we were greeted warmly by the owner, Eric.
Our luggage was taken care of, and within a few minutes, we arrived at Ulrika Hotel—an intimate, family-run retreat just a short walk from the beach.
Our sea-view room was a delight, offering a breathtaking view of the Aegean. The space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with tea and coffee facilities, a fridge, and a spacious bathroom with toiletries provided. Daily housekeeping ensured everything remained fresh, and someone was available 24/7 for assistance.
The location is unbeatable—just a five-minute walk to the beach, where sunbeds and refreshments are available, and only ten minutes from Aegina town, with its charming tavernas, cafés, and local shops. The historic sites, including the Temple of Aphaia and nearby island excursions to Agistri and Moni, are easy to access, making this a fantastic base for exploring.
What truly makes Ulrika Hotel special is the warm hospitality of the Kalamakis family. Their kindness and attentiveness create a welcoming atmosphere that many guests, including us, deeply appreciated. Whether it’s recommendations for dining or help with any request, they go above and beyond.
If you’re looking for affordable comfort, a prime location, and genuine Greek hospitality, Ulrika Hotel is an excellent choice. We’ll definitely be back!
We highly recommend it.
